- 4 chicken breasts – equal in size
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp dried thyme – or italian seasoning
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 teaspoons of dried thyme, 2 teaspoons of onion powder, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of black pepper, and ½ teaspoon of paprika.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel to help the spice rub stick better. Brush the seasoning mixture onto both sides of the chicken.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375℉ for 5 minutes. Place the chicken in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes. Flip and cook for another 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165℉ when tested with a meat thermometer.
- Transfer the chicken to a cutting board or plate, let it rest before slicing to keep the juices locked in for extra tenderness, and then slice and serve!
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken breasts in the seasoning mixture for up to 2 hours before cooking.
Ensure chicken pieces are similar in size for even cooking.
