Description

This Chicken Tikka cooked in an Air Fryer is packed with flavor, easy to prepare, and perfect for a quick dinner. With tender chicken, Greek yogurt marinade, and a mix of spices, it’s a delightful dish that satisfies cravings for comfort food or a healthy meal.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless chicken (thighs or breasts)
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1.5 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or kashmiri chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or avocado)

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken into 1.5-inch pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic-ginger paste, and spices to create a marinade.
  • Add the chopped chicken to the marinade and coat it thoroughly. Allow it to marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Arrange the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 12-14 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through cooking.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving it with chutney or rice.

Notes

Marinating the chicken overnight enhances the flavor.
You can adjust the spice levels by adding more or less chili powder.
Serve with a side of greens for a balanced meal.
