Description

These homemade chocolate turtles feature a delectable combination of chocolate, sweet Medjool dates, and crunchy pecans. Perfect for any occasion, they are easy to make and delightful in every bite!

Ingredients

  • Medjool Dates
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Coconut Oil
  • Pecan Halves
  • Sea Salt

Instructions

  • Pulse pitted Medjool dates for 15–20 seconds until roughly chopped.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt and blend until the mixture forms a sticky ball.
  • Chill the mixture in plastic wrap for about an hour.
  • Roll into small balls of about tablespoon size.
  • Press three pecan halves into each date ball in a triangular pattern.
  • Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in short intervals in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each date ball into the melted chocolate and place on parchment paper.
  • Freeze for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate is firm.

Notes

Use fresh, soft Medjool dates for the best flavor and texture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or a week in the refrigerator.
Experiment with different nuts or add a splash of vanilla for more flavor.
