- 4 thick cut pork chops, bone-in or boneless
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 yellow onion, finely diced
- 8 ounces brown mushrooms, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 10.5 ounce can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove pork chops and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute; stir in cream of mushroom soup and beef broth.
- Return pork chops to the skillet, simmer in sauce for about 5 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Use room temperature pork chops for even cooking.
