Description

This Creamy Alfredo Sauce is a delightful blend of butter, garlic, and parmesan. Quick to make, it transforms fettuccine into a meal everyone loves.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat and add the minced garlic. Let simmer for just a minute.
  • Whisk in the cream and half and half until fully incorporated, then bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, whisking to combine.
  • Slowly mix in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt while stirring continuously.
  • Once the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth, gradually whisk in the hot milk or pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Toss the sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thinner sauce, add more hot milk or pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
Garnish with parsley for added freshness.
