- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- ¾ cup yellow mustard
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Season the chicken thighs evenly on both sides.
- Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken thighs skin-side down until the skin is golden and crispy.
- Transfer the seared chicken to the slow cooker, skin-side up.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the yellow mustard, honey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
- Pour the sauce around the chicken, avoiding direct contact with the skin to keep it intact during cooking.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to LOW for 5–6 hours, or until the chicken is tender.
- In the last 30 minutes, uncover the slow cooker to allow the sauce to thicken slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate in the seasoning for an hour before cooking.
Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey and brown sugar to your preference.
