Description

This Easy Sakura Latte combines creamy milk, flavorful cherry blossom syrup, and vibrant matcha powder for a delightful, layered experience in every sip, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk* (240 grams)
  • 4 teaspoons cherry blossom syrup*
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder*
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cream, optional (60 grams)

Instructions

  • Sift the matcha powder in a small bowl using a fine mesh sieve.
  • Pour half (¼ cup) of the hot water (170℉ or 80°C) onto the matcha and whisk until foamy.
  • Add the remaining hot water and gently mix to combine.
  • In a separate jug, mix the milk and cherry blossom syrup well.
  • Pour the Sakura milk into two large glasses filled halfway with ice cubes.
  • Very slowly pour the matcha tea on top to keep the pink and green layers distinct.
  • Top with cream if desired and serve.

Notes

Ensure the hot water is at the right temperature (170℉ or 80°C) for optimal matcha mixing.
Using a bamboo whisk will provide the best aeration for the matcha.
Adding cream is optional but enhances the richness of the drink.
