Description

Feta Cranberry Swirls Pastry combines buttery puff pastry with salty feta, creamy mozzarella, and sweet cranberry sauce, making an irresistible treat for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 7 oz. crumbled feta cheese
  • 4.2 oz. grated mozzarella cheese
  • ½ tsp. dried mint or oregano
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1 tsp. milk (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (for topping)
  • Honey (for drizzling)
  • Cranberry sauce (for dipping)
  • Sprig of rosemary (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Combine crumbled feta, grated mozzarella, dried herbs, and egg white in a bowl until mixed.
  • Roll out the puff pastry and spread the cheese mixture over the top half, then fold in half and seal edges.
  • Slice the folded pastry into strips about ½ inch wide, twist and form into spirals.
  • Brush tops with egg yolk and milk mixture, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 28-32 minutes until golden brown; cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Ensure puff pastry is fully thawed before use to prevent cracking.
Reheat leftovers in a 350°F oven for crispiness.
For a twist, add chopped spinach or sundried tomatoes to the filling.
