Description

These Garlic Butter Lamb Chops are a delightful meal featuring tender lamb seasoned to perfection and cooked in a garlic butter sauce. Simple to make and bursting with flavor, this dish is perfect for a quick dinner that will impress your family and guests alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons Italian herbs (if using fresh use 4 tbsp, mince and combine)
  • 6 lamb chops
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 1 shallot (finely minced)
  • 46 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup dry white wine or low-sodium chicken broth
  • 12 fresh thyme and rosemary (sprigs each, optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Divide the Italian herbs into two equal portions.
  2. Season the lamb chops with salt, pepper, and half the fresh herbs on both sides.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt half the butter.
  4. Add the lamb chops to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Remove chops from pan and let rest on a wire rack.
  6. As chops rest, add the other half butter to the pan and melt.
  7. Add shallot and garlic and heat until fragrant, about 45 seconds. Add the remaining fresh herbs.
  8. Stir in wine to deglaze the pan, stirring up browned bits of lamb.
  9. Bring sauce to boil and let reduce and thicken, about 2 minutes.
  10. Drizzle sauce over lamb.
  11. Optional: Sprinkle fresh parsley or sprigs of rosemary over the lamb chops before serving.
  12. Serve the garlic butter pan-seared lamb chops with your favorite side dishes such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple salad.

Notes

For an extra boost of flavor, consider marinating the lamb chops in garlic and herbs for a few hours before cooking.
Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or salad for a balanced meal.
Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference for a milder or stronger flavor.
