Description

This Gordon Ramsay Christmas Salmon combines rich flavors like honey and garlic, simple prep, and stunning presentations, making it a must-try for holiday meals.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.2–1.5 kg side of salmon
  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 120 ml honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 360 ml sour cream
  • 120 ml chopped fresh dill
  • 1/2 grated eschalot
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon zest
  • 150 g dried cranberries soaked in 240 ml hot orange juice
  • 120 g toasted almonds
  • 80 ml chopped fresh parsley
  • Pomegranate seeds for garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon juice, to taste

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix sour cream, dill, grated eschalot, and lemon zest until smooth.
  • Soak dried cranberries in hot orange juice for 15 minutes, then combine with almonds and parsley.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare parchment and foil for salmon.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in honey and garlic until mixed.
  • Drizzle honey-garlic glaze over salmon, wrap in foil and seal.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until flaky, then broil for 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let salmon rest for 5 minutes, then top with dill sauce and tapenade, garnish with pomegranate seeds and parsley.

Notes

Fresh salmon provides the best results; consider sustainable or farmed options.
Glaze can be made with olive oil for a dairy-free version.
Prepare sauces a day ahead for convenience.
