Description

This Healthy Crockpot Tater Tot Casserole combines the cheesy goodness of tater tots and seasoned beef for a dish that satisfies cravings while keeping it healthy. Perfect for family dinners!


Ingredients

  • 32 ounces frozen Tater Tots
  • 1 pound ground beef, browned and drained
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 10.5 ounces cheese sauce
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped cilantro (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the crockpot by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Layer half of the frozen tater tots at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • In a bowl, mix together browned beef, cheese sauce, taco seasoning, onion, and half the cheese.
  • Spread the beef mixture over the tater tots in the crockpot.
  • Top with the remaining tater tots in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tater tots.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 2½ hours, checking in the last half hour.

Notes

Use lean ground beef or substitute with turkey for a healthier option.
