Description

These Honey Mustard Pretzel Pieces offer an irresistible flavor combination of sweet and tangy with a satisfying crunch. Easy to prepare, they are perfect for parties or a cozy snack.


Ingredients

  • 12–16 ounces hard pretzels
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 Tablespoons honey
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together oil, honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ground mustard, onion powder, and salt.
  • Break the pretzels into pieces and coat them with the honey mustard mixture in a large bag or bowl.
  • Spread the coated pretzels in a single layer on the baking sheet and sprinkle with optional sea salt.
  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until golden and crunchy.
  • Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 weeks.
For extra crunch, reheat in a 300°F oven for a few minutes if they lose crispiness.
Consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
