- 3 pound boneless pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoons herb and garlic seasoning
- 1/2 cup bbq sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Rub the pork shoulder with the herb and garlic seasoning and place it in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Pour this mixture over the pork in the slow cooker.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Add approximately 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the cooking juices back to the shredded pork and discard the excess liquid.
- If desired, mix in additional BBQ sauce to taste.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the pork shoulder overnight with the seasoning before cooking.
Serve on buns with coleslaw for a classic pulled pork sandwich.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
