Description

This Spicy Bacon Tomato Pasta is a delightful mix of crispy bacon, creamy tomato sauce, and tender pasta. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal, it brings warmth and flavor to your dinner table.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta
  • 4 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste (double concentrated)
  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 small handful fresh basil (sliced thin)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente.
  • Chop bacon and cook in a skillet until crispy; remove leaving some fat in the pan.
  • Sauté onion in the skillet until translucent, then add garlic and cook briefly.
  • Pour in white wine and let simmer, scraping the pan.
  • Add tomato paste, cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes; simmer to thicken.
  • Incorporate crispy bacon and fresh basil, adjusting sauce thickness with reserved pasta water.
  • Stir in parmesan cheese until melted, then mix with drained pasta.

Notes

Cook the bacon until crispy for added texture.
Avoid overcooking the pasta to maintain a pleasant chew.
