- 2 heaping cups of regular or gluten-free pretzels
- 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 1 bag of mini marshmallows (285g)
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
- 2 1/2 cups of crispy rice cereal
- 3/4 cup of freeze-dried strawberries (crushed)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Crush pretzels and mix with melted butter and sugar. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the pretzel mixture completely on the baking sheet.
- Butter an 8×8-inch baking pan. Combine crispy rice cereal, dried strawberries, and cooled pretzels in a bowl.
- Melt 1/2 cup of butter and mini marshmallows in a pot over medium heat until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract and kosher salt to the melted marshmallow mixture.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the melted marshmallow mixture until evenly coated.
- Press mixture into the prepared pan and let it cool for 1 hour before slicing.
Notes
For added crunch, avoid crushing the pretzels too finely.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for 2 weeks.
Feel free to freeze tightly wrapped for up to 3 months.
