Description

These Valentine Sugar Cookie Bars are a delightful treat featuring a buttery and sweet flavor, easy preparation, and vibrant decorations perfect for sharing or enjoying solo.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp Valentine sprinkles
  • 1 tub Duncan Hines white frosting
  • 1/4 cup Valentine sprinkles
  • 1 Tbsp candy hearts and/or red M&Ms

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Mix in room-temperature butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold in Valentine sprinkles.
  • Spread dough in the prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  • Cool completely in the pan, then frost and decorate with additional sprinkles and candies.
  • Cut into 2-inch bars and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to five days at room temperature.
For a thicker bar, use a smaller pan or double the recipe.
Can be frozen for up to three months if wrapped tightly.
