Description

These Valentine’s Day Truffles are a delightful treat combining vanilla Oreos and cream cheese, coated in rich white chocolate, perfect for sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 vanilla oreos about 15 ounces
  • 1 8- ounce block cream cheese softened
  • 1416 ounces white chocolate melts *see notes
  • red oil-based food coloring optional (or powdered)
  • sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Process the Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese until well mixed.
  • Use a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop to form truffles and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Roll into smooth balls.
  • Freeze the truffles for 30 minutes or refrigerate for an hour.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler, stirring until fully melted.
  • If coloring the chocolate, add oil-based food coloring drop by drop until desired color is achieved.
  • Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate using a fork, coat fully, and tap off excess chocolate before placing back on the sheet.
  • For drizzling, chill truffles for about 10 minutes, then decorate as desired.
  • Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet, and let the chocolate set for about 2 hours.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
For a variation, try using different types of chocolate melts.
Feel free to customize with different sprinkles for a festive touch.
