Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel. Use a pastry brush to spread about 1/2 teaspoon of mustard on each salmon filet. Sprinkle each filet with 1/4 of the spice mixture and let sit for 10 minutes before cooking.
- Place the salmon in the preheated air fryer, ensuring each filet has about an inch of space around it. If necessary, cook in batches.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 135 degrees F.
- Remove the cooked salmon filets from the air fryer and transfer them to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil while cooking any remaining salmon. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, allow the salmon to marinate in the spice mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
Adjust the spice level by using more or less mustard as desired.
If you prefer crispy skin, cook the salmon skin-side down in the air fryer.
