Description

These delightful christmas Santa Claus Macarons are a must-try! With a crispy shell and creamy sugar cookie buttercream filling, they blend festive flavors with fun, making them perfect for holiday gatherings and family traditions.


Ingredients

  • 100 grams Domino® Golden Sugar
  • 4 grams Egg White Powder (optional)
  • 100 grams Egg Whites
  • 105 grams Almond Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Domino® Powdered Sugar (187 grams)
  • 1 tbsp Meringue Powder
  • 4 tbsp Water
  • 2 drops Gel Food Coloring (black)
  • 1 drop Gel Food Coloring (yellow)
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour (63 grams)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (113 grams)
  • 1/4 cup Domino® Golden Sugar (50 grams)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1/2 tbsp Milk or Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 cup Desiccated Coconut (50 grams)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300ºF and prepare baking sheets.
  • Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
  • Whisk together sugar, egg white powder, and egg whites over simmering water until smooth.
  • Whip meringue until stiff peaks form and glossy.
  • Fold dry mixture into meringue and add gel food coloring.
  • Pipe macaron shells onto baking sheets and let rest.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until firm.
  • Cool and prepare royal icing for decorating.
  • Make buttercream filling and assemble macarons.

Notes

Macarons can be stored at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For gluten-free options, substitute almond flour with a nut-free blend.
Ensure egg whites are room temperature for best results.
