Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread marinated shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, discarding excess marinade.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges for additional flavor.
Notes
For added flavor, you can include additional herbs like parsley or cilantro in the marinade.
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
