Description

This Pico de Gallo is all about fresh flavors with ripe roma tomatoes, crunchy red onion, and fragrant cilantro. Quick to prepare and perfect for topping tacos or enjoying with chips, it’s a must-try for anyone craving simple, homemade deliciousness!


Ingredients

  • 1 pound roma tomatoes
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ freshly ground black pepper
  • â…› teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the roma tomatoes and remove the seeds/pulp from the center.
  2. Finely dice the red onion and chop the fresh cilantro.
  3. Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and stir until well mixed.
  4. Chill for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving, or enjoy immediately.

Notes

For extra heat, add diced jalapeños to the mix.
Use fresh ingredients for best flavor.
Pico de Gallo is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
