Description

Treat yourself to a delightful dessert with layers of vibrant red and blue jello, complemented by rich cream. This recipe is easy to prepare and is perfect for celebrations or casual get-togethers, sure to please both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz red gelatin (170g)
  • 6 oz blue gelatin (170g)
  • boiling water (use the amount called for on the back of the gelatin box)
  • cold water (use the amount called for on the back of the gelatin box)
  • 12 fl. oz heavy whipping cream (350ml)
  • 5 fl. oz sweetened condensed milk (150ml)
  • whipped cream
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Follow the directions on the back of the two gelatin boxes.
  2. Prepare both gelatin flavors and transfer them to an 8×8 (20cmx20cm) dish. Refrigerate for about 4 hours or until set, using the Quickset method if you prefer.
  3. Cut squares according to the size of your cups when both gelatins are completely set. Use a utility knife to create the squares vertically and horizontally.
  4. Remove them delicately to avoid breaking. Use a teaspoon, butter knife tip, or spatula to lift more than one at a time.
  5. Use small cups of 8oz (237ml) or less. Place a few gelatin squares on the bottom of each cup, alternating colors and pressing them against the walls for visibility. Pour in a little cream (about 1.5 tablespoons) and continue this process until the cup is full.
  6. Decorate with whipped cream and sprinkles or as desired.

Notes

Ensure the gelatin sets completely for the best presentation.
Use clear cups to showcase the colorful layers for visual appeal.
Experiment with different types of sprinkles for varied decoration.
