- 1 cup sugar-free applesauce
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3 overripe bananas, mashed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 5 bread pan with non-stick spray and set it aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the sugar-free applesauce with baking powder. Then stir in the honey and mashed bananas.
- Combine the banana mixture with the dry ingredients until just mixed together.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Ensure the bananas are overripe for better sweetness and flavor.
Be careful not to overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
If you prefer, you can substitute the honey with agave syrup for a different sweetness.
